Has your sourdough starter given up the ghost? Are you unable to rewatch one more episode of Tiger King? Have you finally accepted the fact that you’ll never find the missing 1000th puzzle piece to complete your jigsaw masterpiece, “Kitten Capers”?
It sounds as though you need a new hobby to sustain you through another few more months of pandemic life. Luckily, I know just the thing!
We are proud to announce the return of Write 6×6 to GCC!
Write 6×6 is a blog writing challenge for all faculty and staff here at Glendale Community College. Participants are encouraged to write six blog posts in six weeks. We offer a new blog prompt each week, but as long as you are writing about teaching, learning, and/or student success, you can follow your creativity wherever it may lead you.
Each blog post will appear on the CTLE’s Write 6×6 blog, providing us an opportunity to connect with one another and learn from each other through the written word. Even better, each week, participants will be rewarded with snacks!
We will kick off Write 6×6 2022 during the CTLE’s Heart of Teaching conference later this month. On the afternoon of February 25, I welcome you to join my workshop, “Hearty Blogging for Growth and Connection.” In this short, virtual workshop, we will explore how to use your professional blog as a tool to reflect on the work you do here at GCC and also as a way to connect with the GCC community. At the end of this workshop, you’ll walk away with concrete strategies for reflective writing, and you’ll get a sneak peek at the 2022 Write 6×6 blog prompts. (Register for The Heart of Teaching Conference Day Two.)
If you can’t make it to the kickoff, keep your eyes out for the signup email in your inbox on February 18. Or, if you’re ready to get this show on the road, you can register now.
Write 6×6 is sure to be as much fun as a pandemic puppy, but a lot less messy. Don’t miss out!

As much fun as a pandemic puppy! Oh my gosh, Lisa, you are hilarious. I’m looking forward to your workshop. I hope I will be able to attend! I need a little push to flex my reflective writing muscle.
