I happen to be a packrat and I hate to throw any old thing away just in case it might be useful some day.  The same can be said about teachers and our ability to recycle materials that are from years gone by.  It is now the District’s policy to remove any classes from Canvas that are more than 5 semesters old.  This means that comes January, 2016, Summer 2014 courses will be removed.

Definitely NOT!  The content of most of our older courses have been imported throughout the semesters and adapted and used so we already have those.  If, however, you want to keep the courses, there is a very simple way to do that!

Step One: Download a Copy of Your Course to Your Computer

Going to https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-2713 will give you a step by step way to download all of the content of your course so that it will be there if you ever need it!

Step Two: Upload Your Saved Course to a New Course

When you are ready to use the older materials, simply copy from a Course Export Package as is shown here: https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-2687

Following these two steps will allow you to save a copy of your older courses to be used whenever the need arises!
