This semester, the CTLE is launching The AI Collaborative Exchange. Each month, we’ll host a conversation around AI and one of its topics related to teaching and learning. We will provide a Zoom link or a space on campus and some information about the day’s topic.

In this collaborative exchange, the participants aim to gain a deeper understanding of AI, AI in higher education, and AI in daily life by combining their insights and expertise.
A “collaborative exchange” refers to a dynamic interaction where participants work together to share ideas, information, and perspectives. It involves a cooperative and mutually respectful approach where individuals actively contribute, listen, and build upon each other’s thoughts.

Talking with Students about AI: In this session our starting point can be the variety of classroom policies contained in our syllabi. Is that enough? Should we be having other conversations with our students about AI? Join us for this interdisciplinary discussion.
October 24 2:00-3:00 Robinson Room

AI and Assessment: In this session, embrace the eerily fascinating intersection of AI and assessment in education. Discuss AI’s spectral presence and what it can do to make assessment a treat rather than a trick. Come AI trick or treating with us. This event is in person.
November 8 2:00-3:00 Virtual
Saving Time with AI: This season of gratitude, join us for an exploration of how AI can save us time. Let’s think about how AI can help us reclaim valuable time in our daily lives. Join us for an insightful session on using AI-powered tools to streamline tasks and focus on what truly matters.
December 5 2:00-3:00 Virtual
Encouraging AI Ethics and Detecting AI: Explore the ethical dimensions of AI and its potential benefits and challenges as we are nearing a well-deserved few weeks off. Join us for an engaging session that delves into the world of AI ethics and detection methods.
