Beth has reached the magical milestone of 30 years teaching.  She jumped into the realm of eCourses with online and hybrid teaching about 12 years ago. Her formal education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education and English from ASU and a Master of Arts in English from NAU. Currently, Beth teaches composition and literature courses in online formats. Like all in GCC’s CTLE, Beth has a passion for teaching and learning. Beth lives downtown with her spouse, twin black cats, tiny dog, and garden.

Mary Anne Duggan

Mary Anne currently is in her second year as Psychology Residential Faculty at Glendale Community College. She holds a PhD in Educational Psychology with a concentration in Learning, and her scholarly work involves the motivation of teachers as learners of the teaching craft.  Prior to her work at GCC, she most recently served as a Lecturer in ASUOnline’s psychology program. Mary Anne has designed and taught 46 sections of 12 different online courses over the last 17 years at the post-secondary level. She also served for 17 years as an elementary school teacher and K-12 professional learning specialist. She has directed new teacher induction programs as well as several university projects aimed at educator professional learning. Mary Anne is very excited to support faculty to further strengthen GCC’s eCourse offerings.

Christine Jones was a student at Glendale Community College before transferring to Northern Arizona University, where she earned a dual BA in English and Religious Studies and an MA in TESL. In 2016, Christine started teaching at Glendale Community College. Christine is dedicated to the learning-centered support of students with a commitment to ensuring opportunities for student success. It is her commitment to student success and understanding of accessibility that led her to discover Open Educational Resources at GCC.  Her passion for Open Education and excitement for the learning possibilities made attainable with OER have led her to the new role as the OER Faculty Coordinator at GCC. 

Krysten Pampel

Dr. Krysten Pampel is a residential faculty member in the mathematics department at Glendale Community College (GCC) in the Maricopa County Community College District. She is an alumnus of GCC, earned her master’s degree in adult education and training from University of Phoenix, and earned her Ph.D. in undergraduate mathematics education at Arizona State University. She began her career in education in 2009. She is an OER Practitioner through the Maricopa Millions grant and continues to push herself to stay flexible in her teaching practice. She was a member of the first Reimagine Cohort and was awarded a Reimagine Grant to fund the lightboard studio on campus. During her time at GCC, she has taken the role of department assessment coordinator, department eCourse Coordinator, Higher Learning Commission Co-Chair, Assessment Developer, and is a member of the eCourses Committee.
