The new Turnitin framework in Canvas LMS no longer runs off an external tool. The old Turnitin external tool linked to the service. Now, assignments still linking to that external tool will not work and will return you to the home page. Be sure to check all Turnitin assignments. To fix it, simply edit the assignment, change the submission type from external tool to online, choose file uploads, and then choose Turnitin from the plagiarism checker drop-down box after selecting the box to have it linked.
