Hopefully you have heard the news … GCC is embarking on an adventure to REIMAGINE teaching and learning. If you had a magic wand and could do anything that you wanted in your classroom, what would you do? How would you change things up a bit, get re-energized, and make a greater impact?

When you are ready to get started considering new possibilities for your course(s), please complete the application and indicate your interest in the cohort experience which will be supported through 3 load hours, CTLE assistance, and funds up to $500 for materials to support your redesign. Though the application asks about the ideas you are considering, please know that you aren’t locked into any particular approach; the cohort is intended to allow for consideration of many possibilities so that you can find what will work best for you and your course.

Alternatively, if you are ready to get started without the cohort experience, please complete the application and indicate your interest in the individual course redesign which will be supported through access to resources, CTLE staff assistance, and funds up to $500 for materials to support the redesign of the course.

If you would like to learn more about our Reimagine Project, please contact the CTLE or review the Canvas site to access the PowerPoints and resources related to the five teaching strategies that will be the focus of the 2019-2020 year:

  • Problem-Based Learning
  • Project-Based Learning
  • Community-Based Learning (including service-learning and experiential learning such as internships/clinicals)
  • Learning Communities
  • Flipping the Classroom

Don’t forget … applications are due April 15th.  We look forward to working together to REIMAGINE teaching and learning at GCC!
