Next, I have the finals schedule projected and use the class that I am in as a starting point. I demonstrate to students how to find the finals time for our class. Then I provide a couple of standard examples, such as “If you have a MWF class at 10:00 a.m., according to the schedule, when would your final be?”  I also throw in a couple of unique examples like classes that meet in the evening, four days a week, or once a week.

This is a great opportunity for students to learn concept of finals week and how to check the schedule to know for sure when their final is to take place. It is also a great lesson on how to be accountable for being in the right place at the right time.
