Buckle up, Gauchos! Write 6×6 is ready to hit the road again on Monday, January 27, 2025!
Are you a Write 6×6 veteran whose bag is packed and ready to go? You can proceed directly to the route and sign up here!
Do you need a little coaxing? Read on!
What is the Write 6×6 challenge, you ask? Well, the CTLE invites you to create 6 pieces of writing, one each week for 6 weeks beginning Monday, January 27, 2025. In addition to writing traditional blog posts, we invite you to consider taking the scenic route by responding to the prompts with original podcasts, infographics, and videos! Aside from composing 1 post each week for 6 weeks, the only other rule is that the writing must be about teaching, learning, and/or student success. That’s a lot of latitude to write about pedagogy, tools, successes, challenges, experiences, or hopes and dreams.
We will use the Internet to share our work. Every post created by our daring Write 6×6 participants (faculty, staff, and administrators) will be magically delivered to the CTLE Write 6×6 blog!
What is in it for you besides sharing your thoughts and ideas with your colleagues? For completing each week, the participants will be rewarded with a variety of awesome treats delivered right to your office door! (If you do not have an office on campus, or if we miss you, you can stop by the CTLE to pick up your rewards.)
So, are you up for the challenge? We know you are busy. We know you already share your ideas at workshops and standing in line for coffee in the Student Union, but we challenge you to reflect and share your thoughts about teaching, learning, and/or student success with a broader audience through the written word. Imagine if 20 teachers and staff survive all 6 weeks: that would produce 120 pieces of writing from GCC Gauchos!
