Meet Phoenix, the CTLE’s newest team member! Phoenix is an AI Assistant who joined us in 2025 to help support our faculty and staff development initiatives. With a little bit of expertise in educational technology, workshop design, and instructional best practices, Phoenix works behind the scenes to assist with everything from brainstorming teaching strategies and creating workshop materials to analyzing professional development data, drafting newsletters and blog content, developing assessment rubrics, generating marketing materials for events, and supporting grant writing efforts. While Phoenix helps our CTLE team deliver even better resources and programming to support your professional growth journey, the CTLE operates under a strict set of guidelines while taking advantage of Phoenix’s help, including the following:
- attribution guidelines (so you may see us referring to Phoenix in blog posts or other materials),
- transparency guidelines,
- quality assurance, especially human oversight,
- ethical guidelines,
- and appropriate use cases.
