The Academic Technology Innovation Pipeline wants to fund your classroom technology idea! This three-tiered, multi-phase grant provides an opportunity for you to build from a small-scale, local campus innovation to a district-wide implementation. In other words, if funded, you will be in the “pipeline” for an opportunity to receive future funding to expand your project. We are kicking off Phase I this year with up to $50,000 available in funding Districtwide. Details:
- Purpose: The purpose of this grant is to encourage innovation through the use of academic technology. This grant allows recipients to test innovations on a small scale without risk, while also pushing innovators to dream big.
- Funding Amount: In Phase I, faculty at each college are eligible to apply for up to $5,000 to fund a technology you would like to purchase and incorporate into your classroom.
- Phase I of this grant does not fund faculty hours or reassigned time. Future phases can fund faculty time.
- Competitive Framework: After the first year, each college will select the most viable innovation to be eligible for a second year of funding for up to $10,000. From these, the ATA will choose the top five innovations for Phase II funding. Phase III will then fund up to $50,000 for district wide implementation.
