How to find an email in Google Mail.

Log into your gccaz email account.

Click in the search box.

Type in the name of the person you are looking for or the topic you are searching for and tap Enter or click on the blue magnifying glass (Search button).

For example if you typed in Time and Labor you might get something like this.

The results will only show those message that have time and labor in them.

Click back on the Inbox under COMPOSE to show all messages.

You can do an advanced search which gives you more options.  Click on the dropdown arrow next to the blue search button.

This screen will show:

With this you can search by any item listed on this screen.

From, To, Subject, Has the words, Doesn’t have.

Just fill in the information you are looking for in one of the boxes and click the search button (blue) to see the results.  There is also a checkbox if the item you are looking for has an attachment.  If you know when the message was received you can also specify within a set number of days, weeks or months when that message was received.

In doing these searches it narrows the number of messages you might have to look through to find what you’re looking for.

Click back on the Inbox under COMPOSE to show all messages.
